Benjamin Rosenbaum
Ben wrote two of my favorite stories this year, both online and both approved for use by scientists. "Start the Clock" is set in a future where a disease froze the development of every child on Earth, resulting in a Lost Boys society where your unchanging age basically determines your species. "The House Beyond your Sky" is a post-Singularity story where a lonely man in a house in the featureless void of space is visited by a strange child. They're both mind-bending and crazy good. His blog is more prosaic, though.
